I would be a bit skeptical about that approach. I would strongly suggest Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover Book" there are no short cuts and lots of great common sense ideas.
Good luck!
I am interested in this concept and was wondering if anyone has looked into this or received or tried the program and what they thought, I sent for the free information but am skeptical to pay upfront to try it for 30 days, the testimonials sound good but I am curious if this is truly practical for working families with limited extra income
I have decided to do some research on my own and check out the programs/books the other great moms have shared with me. Once I get a feel for what the differences are, I can choose which one best fits my situation. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and ideas.

My suggestion is to check out Dave Ramsey and his book, "The Total Money Makeover" instead. It is an amazing wealth of information and has changed the way we do money in so many ways. Dave is GREAT!
I don't know anything about John Cummuta but according to Suzie Orman you should never pay for this kind of service. Just get a book from the library (any book from Suzie Orman-she has been featured on Oprah. Also always go with your gut.
Good Luck!
yes, I went to a church seminar he held. I was impressed and felt at ease with the concept. I was given so literture as well. After listening to him speak and having him go through the process of transforming debt to wealth I was convinced. The problem that kept my sponse and I from using the program was the fact he didn't attend the seminar. I suggest you and your spouse both attend his seminar if possible.
Our small group from church used Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover" and it is awesome and sets out very clear steps. It has been a year since we started and we have gone from $24,000 of debt down to $7,000 which will be gone in the next 3 months!!
You can also catch him from 1pm-4pm on WJOL, in Bolingbrook it's 1340 AM, but you can check his website for the radiostation nearest you.
Good Luck
I don't have experience with John Cummuta's program, but after looking at it a little online, it seems similar to Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
I'd encourage you to check out FPU - I know it does have great success! I think you can do the program on your own, but one of the most successful ways to complete it is through a 13-week "seminar" offered many places. Our church just started it's next round this week. 2 hrs once a week for 13 weeks - - The cost is only $90 total per family (seems much cheaper than Cummuta's).
Check it out and do some comparing - http://www.daveramsey.com/fpu/home/
I have never tried this particulare one, but we used a program called Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey and LOVE it. It's very simple, step by step instructions. He does start out where most of us are..in debt! But, he also has some very good investment advice. It's about $90 for the class and materials, but it's well worth it, I think! Check it out online.
Though it's somewhat religious in nature and the classes are usually offered in churches, it's not overly so. It focuses primarially on the finances, not the religion.
Hope this helps.
Sorry, I've never tried that Debt into Wealth, but I am currently reading Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey and it is extremly practical. I am enjoying it very much.
My husband & I have been following the program for about 2 or 3 years now. We're not terribly disciplined about it, but it is a long-term solution that really makes sense & will work. The premise is that you only buy things you can afford; with cash (cut up your credit cards). Also, make bigger monthly payments on credit cards, student loans, car, etc. to pay them off sooner. Once you're no longer making payments on loans, cars, etc., you'll use that accumulating "extra" money to pay down your mortgage. And of course, once you've paid off your mortgage, you will have more money to spend. John Cummuta claims it takes the average family 8-10 years to be debt-free using the system, and it does take discipline. We were surprised how fast we were able to pay off our cars & student loans. We don't use the system perfectly - we cheat sometimes (it's HARD not to use any credit), but I'd say we're further ahead of the average family because of it. Hope that helps some. :)
