there carpenter ants there a pain in the a##. U need a orkin man or someone last i checked two years ago orkin was 88 dollars a month they come out once a week and spray. But now with time change things may have changed. also your husband can get this stuff at home depot too. its a white powder to sprinkle around the door on the outside and around the outside of the house. we have re caulked and they still come in. We have them on the top floor which i can't figiure why since theres only windows up there we live in a colonial and there in our bathroom. The only other thing I can suggest which is actually safe because i do have children too. Is they have in young living and theres other oil company out ther if you get the natural oil pepermint kills all insects and strays them from the house and I know lemon oil works on some. pepermints the best. spray that around the doors in the inside like a i would do 5 to 8 drops to a bottle of water 20oz. good luck!
