Ants!!! !^@%! - Chicago,IL

There is ant powder that contains boric acid. I've used it myself for the ants (small black ants) that come out of the hard wood floor, but they don't seem to work on the itty bitty red ants (1/4 the size of small black ants) that seem to infest my house late June - July.

You need to buy Terro liquid ant baits and never look back. I wasted years looking for a natural solution, meanwhile the colony grew and grew and grew! I finally took someone's advice and tried the Terro baits. I used about six baits and within a week they were gone. In following years I would get a few at the beginning of summer. All I do is place a bait or two out and then they're gone again. I'm shocked that Orkin would keep taking your money and not solve the problem, especially since you can buy the Terro baits at good ole Walmart for not a lot of money.

Terro is cheap and works wonders! It's safe too, non toxic to humans. Just be sure to follow the instructions.

Terro liquid baits totally worked for us, too. Fast and cheap. I get them at the hardware store.

I would be calling Orkin because whatever they are doing isn't working. You are paying them to take care of your problem and they aren't doing it.

I used Terro and never had another problem.

Only thig I use and I havent seen ants in my house for over a year now... Mix Borax and powder sugar. Sugar makes them eat the sugar and borax, borax poisons them (killing them) It is safe around kids too. WORKS GREAT!!!

Find where they are coming in and pour either splenda or nutrasweet down. I swear it works!

I just got rid of mine... absolutely gross little black ants EVERYWHERE! I bought the liquid traps that you put down and cut the end off so they go in, get some of the liquid, some don't come out, and others take it back to the nest. I put ALOT down all over and in a few weeks they were gone. Good luck

Definitely call Orkin if you still see them! They need to come back in between their regularly scheduled visits!!!!! We have Terminix come out every 3 months and if there is any kind of problem, we call in between and they come back out.

I will say it took a while for our ants to be gone. We have a paver patio and walkway and they really seemed to like the sand. They just kept moving and moving. But finally, they seemed to have gotten the hint.

I paid good money to a pest person too and kept calling and calling. They never came back. They said I just hadn't given it enough time....BS. I still had ants 3 months later.

We live in a section of town that has the perfect soil or something for them to live in. If everyone around you has them too then chances are they are not beatable. The Terro will help though. I put them everywhere but I still see the ants crawling along the baseboards and on the back wall behind the stove, etc..

spray the area with windex. and put down some bounce drier sheets

I had ants for the 1st time this year, I couldn't believe it there were hundreds all over my kitchen! It was disgusting, I tried the ant traps they didn't work, I bought combat its like a gel you squeeze between baseboards, window sills, etc, they were gone by that night and never returned! it was th best and super cheap!
