Feed him bananas and/or rice with some of his meals. You can also give him probiotics that will help his digestion go bcak to normal.
Okay, I know there was just a post about this today or yesterday but I can't seem to find it anywhere!
I had the stomach bug on January 1st, so a little more than 2 weeks ago. It was 1 day of misery where I just threw up everything that entered my body. I had a little bit of "diarrhea" (One loose stool) the day after, but then I was fine.
My son (2) never got sick, but he did start to have very loose stools that day. Basically poopy water. This has been going on since the day I got sick. He's not acting sick. He still eats like a little pig. He is getting plenty of fluids.
How do I get the form back in his stools? Should I call his doctor? My husband doesn't think that this warrants a call to the doc, but it's been so long!

As long as you keep him hydrated and his electrolytes balances (all the Pedialyte he wants), he should be fine.
OMG...the baby has been "peeing out his butt" (that's what I call horrible diareah) for two weeks and you haven't taken him to the doctor???
Call his pediatrician.....now.
the BRAT diet will help with diarrhea...
Bananas
Rice
Apples
Toast
Give him Gatorade or Pedialite. However, 14 days of diarrhea - even though no fever - is NOT right. If after 24-36 hours of the BRAT diet, I would contact my pediatrician to see if there is something else wrong - like an allergic reaction to something he's eaten.
The BRAT diet has not proven effective at stopping diarrhea. I know that, and I still use it! But probiotics do.
Probiotics can be found in some over-the-counter products as well as yogurt (provided it says "contains active live cultures," not just "made with active live cultures"). The best way to get it? Sounds weird, but sauerkraut. Pickles, olives, or other pickled vegetables (especially the "natural" ones) really have a lot of healthy bacteria to heal and soothe the gut. Look for ones with no high fructose corn syrup or artificial color, as those tend to decrease the good bacteria.
Good luck!
Give him some probiotics to normalize his gut. Culturelle, Align, etc. are some brands that they carry at most stores. If you can get a refrigerated type at Whole Foods, that would even be better. Cut out any dairy he might be consuming right now also. Dairy and diarrhea do not mix!
