P.K.
Business casual or just casual. It is at someone's home. Dress comfortably..
I obviously haven't been to a lot of baby showers so here's one more question.
The shower is called a "sprinkle," and is being held at someone's house from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. This is a kid-free "sprinkle,er shower," and is put forth as a Parisian-styled brunch.
My question is what the heck to wear? I'm thinking "business" casual, nice slacks, blouse, etc.
Thanksk everyone. I went in black slacks, a leopard print cami and matching brown short blazer. And of course some nice medium-sized heels. Some ladies had dresses, others pants, so I think I did just fine.

I'd say you're thinking right.
hahahahah- I have never heard of a Baby Sprinkle. hahaha
I would wear something nice...no jeans/t-shirt/sweatshirt.
A nice outfit, but not overly dressy. I think you are right on the money with "business casual". Just remember that if you are at someone's house you may be asked to remove your shoes (I HATE this, BTW), so wear pretty socks :)
Usually a "sprinkle" is just when it is a smaller group or for a baby other than the first. I have a good friend that was in China for her husband's job when her first two babies were born. We did get to send over a gift (his company would pay for one shipment, so we all sent them to her mom's house and then she shipped them to China), but we never got to have a shower to celebrate with her. So when she was back here and having her 3rd we had a small shower with just close friends since we didn't get to with the other babies.
Plus, it is always fun to have an excuse to get together! :)
rather than leaning toward "business", I'd go more feminine or bohemian. Play up the "fun"!
I like "sprinkle". Cute.
Business casual sounds great because you won't be under dressed or
over dressed. I vote for black slacks and a nice blouse.
