Every year we go to Florida for the Daytona 500. His parents have a house 20 mins away from the track sowe stay there. We go for a week and we also take the kids to a theme park. We have taken them to Sea World and Disney, this year we are thinking Animal Kingdom. The kids are ages 7, 6, 4, and 2 I think this would be something they all would enjoy. We loved Sea World but wernt to thrilled with Disney, to big and packed. Also we didn't take the little ones to Disney as they were to young to enjoy or remember. But we are thinking of taking all of them to Animal Kingdom we think they are old enough to all enjoy it. Has anyone been there and what is your opnion on it? If you don't think Animal Kingdom is a good choice why and where else is better?

I haven't been to Disney since 2004, but Animal Kingdom was MY favorite place :) I wouldn't worry about the younger ones remembering, at their age its not about what they remember its about what they're exposed to, and it could be a great event for all. Good luck!!

Animal Kingdom is still Disney so the crowds will still be there. That said, this is by far our favorite park. You'll enjoy kilimanjaro safari, the lion king show was also nice very theatrical yet the kids can still enjoy it (as well as the kids at heart). Dine at the tusker house if you can too. there is also the boneyard where the kids can dig for dino bones

Animal Kingdom is a fun slower paced Disney destination. The Nemo show is wonderful and the Lion King show is enjoyable as well. There is one "big" roller coaster that your two oldest should be able to enjoy along with a few other rides that are great for the whole family. The dinosaur ride is VERY VERY loud and can be quite scary, it's in rehab right now so it may be open when the 500 rolls around, not sure though. Keep in mind that this park does close early, 5:00 right now because it takes so long to get all the animals packed away safely so to enjoy the whole experience you can't arrive too late. Go check it out, I'm sure you will like it very much :-)

We went to Disney this past November. My kids were 8,6,&4. I wasnt sure if they would like AK or Epcot and they loved them both. Plus with AK it is basic hours 9-5 (or 7) so the kids arent as tired as they would be staying til 11pm. There are lots of Character meetings! My kids had a great time. Show your kids the rides on a map or pictures and see if it is something they want to ride. My 8 and 6 yr old loved Everest. but didnt like the Kali River Rapids. They have a small (goats) petting zoo and a few rides for the little one. Besides the shows and the Safari... i think there is only like 2 rides the little one would be able to get on.

Have fun!!

We did universal & seaworld 2 yrs ago! My kids loved Seaworld!!! This time we went we also did Gatorland which the kids enjoyed.

Animal Kingdom is good for all ages. There is a huge jungle gym in dinasaur area that all those ages will love. If you go up the stairs and let them walk up you can go accross tothe sand pit. My daughter can spend hours in it. The safari is cool too. I go on that all the time. I would suggest you get a fast pass for what you want to do most and go back to it. As a floridian we know some times of years are better than others. I dont think we have seen the parade yet because the parade the place gets crowded. So we go in the morning do some stuff and leave before the parade starts around 3p. But ifyou are just doing the one park safe the jungle gym the afternoon time so you can miss the parade completely and you can sit and rest nd watch them run wild.

We liked it well enough -- we went with my 3-year old. Lots of Disney things to do -- good Nemo show, fun carnival ride, truck safari, some cool animals. But, really, we went right before Christmas and it was SUPER crowded. It depends upon the time of year you go! Our neighbors went in early December and there was no one there -- much much nicer. Have fun!

Yes, go to Animal Kingdom. Make sure you catch the Nemo & Lion King shows. My kids INSIST on going to them every time we return to Disney (and that's alot).

It is a great park but get there early so most of the animals will be awake and roaming. We always go on the safari in "Africa" first and we love the 3 d movie "it's a Bugs Life"

We went to Orlando last March with our 4 kids, then 10, 9, 6, and 2. We went to 3 of the 4 Disney theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. We also went to Seaworld twice and Universal Studios twice (2 parks).

I have to say that Animal Kingdom was my favorite. It had the perfect amount of attractions/rides. You could hit them all before the park closed if you got there early enough. The crowds weren't too bad at all. Just make sure you use your easy pass (or whatever they call it, different parks call it different things). There are only a few things that required waiting really.

Magic Kingdom was HORRIBLE!!!! I hated it! It was too crowded and the lines were too long. There was like a 1-2 hour wait for everything. We barely got to do anything. How in the world can you have 4 young kids wait in line for every line that long???? Not worth it!!! Sure it is neat, I just wish they didn't allow so many people in. I guess I shouldn't have went on a MONDAY! LOL!

Anyway, enough rambling. LOL! I'd say it would be worth your money.
Pictures are memories too. So take lots!
Good Luck!

Animal Kingdom is Disney. I think it's a great place for kids your ages. We went in 2008, the Lion King and Nemo shows were great. There's lots of charaters walking around. All kids love animals.

It's wonderful! Make sure you go on the safari tour FIRST,and WHEN IT OPENS. Like JC said all the animals are awake and you should be able to see them all. enjoy.
