ooh man...I'll take the toddler stage over the driving stage!! I swear, I'm getting grey hairs!!
Take videos!! ENJOY IT!!
My youngest granddaughter is 13 months old. Yesterday she was over while her parents were working and babbling up a storm. Cracked me up because she really hasn't been much of a talker up to now. I'd ask her a question and she'd answer me. Or she'd talk and I'd throw in comments. Adorbs. My favorite part of toddlerhood. What's yours?

She sounds lovely!
I love how much their personalities shine through at that age - they're not just cute babies - they are little people on the move, amazed by what they can do, interested in communicating with you, and so funny.
I have video of one of mine at that age just pulling out one Kleenex after another until the whole box was empty. I know I should have stopped her, but the joy and wonder (when will it end?!) was so adorable. As much excitement over the last Kleenex as the first.
I remember just sitting and watching my toddlers explore :)
My two favorite parts are the words they make up, and the stuff that comes out of their mouths that you just know they heard from their parents!
My son had words like "hoppa-cow-ah" (helicopter) and "amba-lamps" (ambulance). But he said them with such authority, it just never sounded like baby talk. He was a late talker, so by the time he had any words, he really had the brain of a more mature child, so he just exploded. And he wasn't talking about the stuff in the infant board books ("duck" and "cat" and so on). He also quickly progressed to "dammit" which he learned from my husband. Sigh.
My cousin has an extremely verbal little boy, not yet 3. We were together cleaning out their dad's house (the grandfather) after his death, and the piano was still there. My cousin was debating moving it to her tiny house or storing it, and of course the toddler was banging on it thinking he was making "music." She told him, if he didn't stop banging, she wouldn't move the piano to their house. He said, "That's okay, Mommy. I will just order one and it will be delivered." Guess he's heard her on the phone just a little too much!
I absolutely LOVE this stage. I prefer the young toddler stage over the infant stage. I have an 18 month old boy myself so trying my best to appreciate each moment.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE age 3. They are so darned funny. It's just amazing to listen to them talk and see the world through their eyes. LOVE IT!!!
The questions, I loved that stage! I never got annoyed at the 'Why?' or questions that I couldn't answer. I was ready to nickname our son "100 Questions" because he always had a new one. As a teen now, he almost never asks questions and I miss it so much. Maybe he will start again some day, or an adult version of it...
So cute. My favorite baby stage is right around 6 months old, when all of a sudden they can sit up and look at you, smile, laugh, and interact. So adorable, but not yet mobile so fewer worries ;)
