well, last time I spoke to her she seemed to be just fine and coherant. SIKE! none of us know her personally--only what the tabloids and press tell us. Give this poor girl and her family a break
How many of you really believe Amy Winehouse test showed no illegal drugs?
I personally think her parents do not want everyone to know truth. Which I as a parent would have probably kept it secret too.
EDIT..... I grew up in a family of nothing but drugs around so ladies I am fully aware of the dangers of drugs or alcohol. The question is do you really believe there were NO ILLEGAL drugs in her system?

"The results of toxicology tests show that late singer, who was found dead in her Camden home on July 23, had no illegal drugs in her system, but that alcohol was present. The results did not determine a cause of death and it’s unclear whether the alcohol played a role in her passing, the Associated Press reports."
Alcohol poisoning also kills people, as does alcohol with prescription drugs. Just because there were no illegal drugs in her system does not mean her death wasn't caused by her addictive behaviors.
I do believe that she had illegal amounts of legal drugs. Her family isn't powerful enough to fake autopsy or toxicology reports. They said no ILLEGAL drugs. Valium, codiene, a synthetic form of heroine and a whole lot of other bad stuff is legal if you have a script. Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith both died from legal drugs.
Actually... detoxing is one of the most dangerous times of using. People have heart attacks and seizures, and strokes pretty frequently in the first few weeks. If she was malnurished, she could have had a heart attack, stroke, aneurysm very easily in the first couple years of "being healthy". Anorexics and starvation victims often spend MONTHS in the hospital, because their heart muscle has been eaten away/damaged and even just walking down a hallway, a sudden fright, or change in temperature can trigger heart failure or a massive MI.
It's a side many people don't realize about drugs: that quitting can be more dangerous than using, and is PART of why rehab facilities are medically supervised.
It's highly possible there were no drugs in her system at the time she died.
Her body could have just given out on her.
You can't live that hard in such a short time without there being a physical toll.
Her body worked to adjust to the substances and it may have worked just as hard to adjust to not having them.
A person's heart can only take so much.
Just my opinion.
Just because she had no illegal drugs in her system doesn't mean she wasn't full of vicodin or percocet and booze. Sad but true. Also, sometimes chronic abuser's hearts give out -even very young ones. It's perfectly possible to OD on legal substances though. And, like Jimi Hendrix, she could have gotten drunk and aspirated on her own vomit.
I hadn't heard that this came back. It is sad. I agree with the others that there probably wasn't illegal drugs, but lots of the legal variety were probably found. Or if not lots then probably at least high levels of at least one...and mixed with alcohol, it probably killed her.
How she died or not, is personal... for the family.
They let out a very sanitized or perfunctory statement about it... no doubt upon the advisement of whomever they consult with, per publicity.
No one will ever know for sure, except her family.
Heath Ledger... died from prescription drugs.
Drugs or not, we don't even know her full health history.
No one will.
Only her family.
They should be able to do what they need to do and say, upon the death of their child. It is personal and private.
What do you think was her mental illness, though? I know some of them lead the sufferers to seek drug addictions...I may just be too trivial but I keep wondering where her family was when she was growing up? How can you let a daughter lose herself so bad without serious intervention? It's either bad family or bad mental illness for her. If not both, that is. So horribly sad.
Why would they lie about it when they know someone's going to get ahold of the actual report and then everyone will know the truth. They said there was alcohol in her system but didn't mention how much. She could have drank herself to death too. Also the report for prescription drugs hasn't come back so it'll be interesting to see what that says and also to see how much alcohol was in her system.
Nope. Don't believe it one bit.
