American Doll Clothes - Cheaper Alternatives? :)

I purchased an American Doll for my niece for Christmas. The clothes for the doll cost more than some of the clothes I buy for my children. :) A friend mentioned that there are other producers of doll clothes that are a lot less expensive but fit the 18in American Doll (8 years old+). If you know of any places that I could purchase cheaper clothes, it would be great. Thank you. :) (BTW..I already looked at Craig's List but people are asking quite a bit of money for their used stuff.)

Target has a line of dolls and clothes called My Generation. The dolls are the same size as the AG dolls so the clothes fit.

Hi a friend just told me Joann Fabrics has a line of clothes and shoes that will fit and very affordable. Was just in there and they were cute, Check them out also I heard you can get stuff at target as well. Good luck

I'm a little late on this, but Sears has a line called "Dollie and Me" and I usually pay $20-$25 for a dress for my daughter and her doll. I noticed the Spring Dollie & Me dresses were out last week.
