I don't know if they work, but they aren't expensive and they are sooo cute. My boys had them, and we didn't have any big teething issues, but I don't know if it was because of the necklaces.
I'm sure this question has been asked and answered numerous times, but I've always ignored the responses, thinking there is no way that they work, BUT my 14 month old is getting 6 teeth all at once, and I've done EVERYTHING! So these necklaces are literally my last resort! (besides vodka) soooo....do they work!?!?!?

I used whiskey for teething. Pour a shot glass of whiskey. Dip your finger in and rub it on the child's gums. Then drink the rest yourself. You'll both feel better. lol.
MY son had one, and it did really did help. It wasn't a magic fix, but it definitely dulled the pain and helped him tremendously. The one he got was absolutely NOT easy to get off. I can't tell you how many kids tugged at that thing, and how hard it was for ME to get it off. It had a screw cap, so it could not be tugged off. I think (sorry that was a few years ago) I got mine from Inspired By Finn. Also, try camilia drops. http://www.boironusa.com/products/camilia/ The really helped my son.
Oh, and please don't put liquor on child's gums, like suggested below. I seriously can't believe people are still suggesting that this day and age. I hope that was a joke...
This wasn't something on my radar at all when my kids were teething, so I have no personal experience to share.
But when I googled and saw a picture, my first thought was that it looked like a choking hazard. And apparently I'm not the only one who sees them that way.

I'd stick with the suggestions below (except for the whiskey, lol!). Don't know what the ingredients are in the camilia drops, but there have been concerns with those in Orajel and Hyland's.
Good luck!
Tyenol and a cold washcloth for him to chew. Also, my kids loved those toys with liquid inside that you put in the freezer and they can chew. You can also get a mesh feeding bag and put frozen breastmilk inside (or Im sure formula would work), we called it a milksicle.
Get wash clothes wet and put them in the freezer and let baby bite/suck on those.
There are many different brands of teeth jewelry out there (necklaces and bracelets). Google Teething Jewelry.
Have you looked into those 'pre-brusing teeth brushers'? Can be used for teething as well.
I don't know if your little one goes to childcare or not. I had a little girl in my care that had one of the necklaces and it came off as soon as she got here every morning. Once the other children noticed it they were always pulling on it or bothering her in some way.
I use Tylenol and the teething tablets.

there are no magic bullets.
but yes, they do help and sometimes help a lot!
not as much as vodka.

I've heard great things about them. If anything, I think it's worth a try.
We used one with my 2nd baby, and I can't tell you if it worked or not, but I don't recall any intense pain episodes during his teething months. He ended up loving to wear it so much that he wore it until he was nearly 3. I think it is worth a try--if nothing else, you get a cute necklace out of the experiment ;-)
Hope your baby feels better soon!
I did buy one for our 2nd child because he had a lot of pain with his teeth. I swear it works well, but who really knows? We took it off him one night, after many restful night, and he had a horrible night so we put it right back on. As far as it being a choking hazard, at nighttime we put it around my son's ankle inside his footie PJs instead of around his neck. If my baby could get that necklace off, I would have been very surprised because it was a twisty clasp, not a hook-and-eye. Anyway, I recommend it! We are currently using it for baby 3 because she's getting some teeth too!
