Hey I am almost 31 Me and My husband has been trying for almost 11 years to have a baby. I do not remeber if I had a period in July but here we are at the end og August and still no cycle I took 2 home test they both came out negative. I waited and then took a blood test about a week ago it also was negative. I lightly spoted for about 2 days off and on about 2 weeks ago. I am really worried I don't know what to do at this point.

Needs Advice...Thanks!

Talk to your doctor. There are many reasons for missing periods, including stress, but you should be checked out.

The test results on the kits are pretty accurate these days. And the blood test are pretty much a sure thing. I am sorry you didn't get the result you both wanted. Try adopting a baby. If race doesn't matter, there are plenty of babies in this country waiting for you and your hubby to come cradle them in your arms.

Yeah I would talk to the dr. Usually the blood test is very accurate. Good luck though!

I took tests with my son for weeks, I just knew something was up, and I was not having a period. But all the tests still came up negative. I just kept taking them until one came up positive! Trust your instincts, if you really think something is going on, it probably is. Just be patient and try not to drive yourself crazy doing it. If you haven't had a positive in a few more weeks, I'd go see the OB/GYN.

No I'm sorry you're not pregnant. Have you tried reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"? It explains your cycle and all the things/activities/stress that make it happen, helps you chart it all and determine when you ovulate or why you don't (potentially) and helps you talk with you OB to get whatever additional help you might need -- for ex: if you ovulate and then have your period in less than 12 days, your egg even if fertilized, won't have time to implant and will be lost. Who knew?!

This book was the most empowering resource! I cannot recommend it enough. It even mentions that if you read the book, and then follow exactly for 6 mos, and still not pregnant, what to do next... Beyond that, there are so many resources for adoption, and vary from state-to-state dramatically. My friend adopted and their agent assisted them nationally.

Good luck in your family planning!

In my experience the test will always turn positive a day or a few days after a missed cycle if you are pregnant.

You may have had a period in July? Then, it may be too early to tell if you're pregnant. When should you have had a period? Are your periods usually regular, and of a similar intensity so that spotting for a couple of days would be unusual?

I don't know what you mean when you say you're worried. What are you worried about? Anxious, I would understand since you want to be pregnant. Worried that you aren't pregnant? I suggest that you jmay have to wait another couple of weeks to take another test if you're not sure when your period would have been. I also suggest that you call your doctor or an advice nurse and ask him about your concerns.
