My husband and I decided last month that we were going to try for another kid. I've been on Yaz/loestrin (was on yaz switched to loestrin about 9 months ago) since my daughter was born 4 years ago. I stopped taking it at the end of may, and now I'm over 10n days late. I took a test this morning and it says negative. Is it too soon? Is my cycle just messed up? I'm confused.

What can I do next?

Same thing happened to my friend. She went off birth control after almost 4 years. She went to the doctors at the end of the month, negative. The next month she took a pregnancy test, pregnant. Never got her period...the first test was just a little too early still.

If your period was due to start 10 days ago, your levels would be plenty high to have a positive result on a test..... You may be delayed due to stopping the medication.

Try another test, if you didnt do the two that usually come with the box, if you did, I would say its just your period, that can happen, but you should really go to the dr.

Good Luck!

Though it's not impossible to be pregnant chances are your cycle is just not back to normal yet because you just got off the pill. I am on Loestrin also and there have been several months that I barely have a period if I even have one at all. I would give it another week and take another test. If it is still negative then chances are you just aren't regular yet. Good Luck!!!!

Hi I had my implanon taken out may 26 so that we can also have a baby together (we each have one from previous marriages) I didn't have normal periods the whole 2.5 yrs I was on it. I had bleeding until exactly one week after having it removed. Tomorrow will be 5 weeks since it's been removed so I took a test yesterday and what did I get? BFN! I didn't have any symptoms with my first so I'm hoping I won't have any this time around either. I totally know what you are going through and wish you the best of luck!
