A., this sounds like it could be mononucleosus. I had it and learned I was a carrier. It's from either someone who had it that was contagious, or you are run down so badly. It affects your glands & spleen. Not to scare you but you need to see your doctor. Keep me posted.

having a three year old how much do you sleep? If he is like my 2 1/2 year old, not much. Try to get as much rest as possible and eat a good diet high in protien and it sounds corney but excercise, I know you are thinking I'm tired how am I going to excercise, but it has helped me alot, especially when I am able to go for a walk outside even though it is really cold, a 10 min walk does me a world of good. drink plenty of water, if you don't start to feel better see your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

You should have your thyroid checked. Since I had my son, my thyroid had slowed down. Because of this, I was sooo tired, and started gaining weight. Just something to consider.

Look at what you are eating- Diet is a big part of being tired and sulgish with now energy. When my first child turned 3 years old I had a nervous break down in the pedetritions office- long story but to sum it up I was tired withdrawl so on he put me on zoloft and sent me to a therapist. well after reading some books on nutrition and vitamins and such and talking to a few friends that were really into organic I descovered I did not need the pills and stoped them and did a 180 in diet change for the whole family- We stopped all fast food except pizza once or twice a month and not only did I take a multi-vitamin I also took 2 400mg of Vitamin E and of course the fish oils I even was drinking 1oz of nonni juice a day. EVERYONE noticed a diff. my mood was better I had energy. We were eatting healthier and so. If you eat a lot of fast foods high fats and things with high fruitcous corn syrup (my spelling is bad today sorry) these will make you feel drained and tired. The other thing is what my husband has is sleep apnea- he snores and bad eatting habits due to is work shift and over weight. Right now we are going backwards because I am pregnant with my 2nd child and my body craves junk of course but March 1st is comming soon!!!!!

Hello A. C.

I know your problem all to well. Our precious little people do have a lot of energy, but I have read the other responses on possible thyroid and mono; however, always do consider talking to your doctor and plan for a physical. After the birth of my son, my middle name was "I'm tired" because I just had no energy and I just felt drained, it was like someone had sucked the life out of me. Here are some things that you can try after your physical that worked for me. Found out that my iron level was low and I was prescribed iron meds. This really helped, but also a good multivitamin/multimineral vitamin helped. You have to choose the right vitamin A. that has the expensive ingredient(Biotin w/600mcg) Biotin is the supplement in a good vitamin that gives you your energy. The cheaper brands do not have Biotin in them. Also daily, I take an awesome Shaklee soy protein supplement everyday. Now this is really what gets my day going. I absolutely guarantee it! Not only is it organic, but it has helped my energy level and cholesterol levels. My middle name is no longer "I'm Tired"!
