I take allegra, and singulair when the summer allergy season is really bad.
For all those out there who take allergy medicine,I am looking to see what kind works best for you. I have to take a pill (nasal sprays won't work) and am looking to see what people think works best. I just started taking Singulair and I think it's making me a little foggy, tired and jittery. I need to try something else, but I'm not sure where to start. Thanks for your input!

I can't take Singulair either. I take AllegraD 24 hour starting in April through October when my allegeries are bad. It works fairly well for me.
I like clairatinD 24 hour.
Does not make me tired, and my head stays clear.
I take Zyrtec for allergies and also take Singulair but that's for asthma for me. If you go with Zyrtec, go to Costco and buy their generic Allertec - it costs something like $18 for 300 tablets vs. Zyrtec which costs something like $30 for 42 tablets.
My hubby is using Xyzal (pronounced Zye zul). It's fairly new and we had some special card which gave us so many months prescription for free. Maybe you can google and find out about the card. It was a great deal!
Zyrtec made him have a hangover the next day. He was too foggy and the cingulair didn't work at all.
I moved from prescription to herbal. I take a bromelain-quercetin combination. I've also used the allergy drops you put under your tongue. It works pretty good and no side effects I'm aware of. But if you have allergies really severe then it might not work.
