Club Med is awesome. www.clubmed.com They have 2 family resorts in Mexico, Ixtapa and Cancun. We went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in June and had a blast. They are great with the kids.
I would like to take my 15 month old on a beach vacation before baby #2 is due. He has flown on airplane before but only from Dallas to San Antonio. I am looking for a good kid friendly resort that offers supervized children's activities for toddlers. A beach and all inclusive(meals) package would be great. I prefer a short flight(for example,DFW to Mexico as opposed to Hawaii, etc)). I'd like suggestions from those of you who have actuallly stayed at one of these resorts. I have been to one beore but it was a Sandals(no children under 14). I have heard of the ones that are kid friendly and would love a recommendation. Thanks!

The Xcaret in Riviera Maya, Mexico is awesome! They have kid activities during the day. There is the beach and several pools. There are lots of animals to see (iguana, macaws, howler monkeys). It is also part of the Xcaret park which has dolphins, shows and lots of other things. Hope that helps!
Try Beaches. It's the Sandals partner resort for families. There are a few in Mexico so it's a short trip.
Beaches in Turks and Caicos was really fun. All inclusive and lots of activities for the kids. Also super nannies if you wanted to have a dinner with just your husband. I think there were 9 different restaurants to choose from.
I haven't been on this one but have heard rave reviews - Beaches has a few Sesame Street resorts. I've heard the care for your kids is wonderful. You can go to www.beaches.com and check out everything they have to offer.
Have fun!
I wouldn't take a child so young to Mexico. I don't care how careful you are, there is still a chance that he will be affected with intestinal issues.
I've seen ads for Beaches - they have family all-inclusive resorts. Also ClubMed. And I've had friends who have taken a Disney Cruise with their kids and loved it!
Royal Carribbean Cruises has great stuff for kids. You could check out some of the cruise lines, and there are quite a few that leave from the port of Houston and Galveston.
Hi Alex,
Have you visited tripadvisor.com? We're taking a family vacation in Mexico and there are a lot of reviews on specific resorts and their family friendliness.
We're not going until October, when we get back, I'll PM you where we went and our experience.

I havent been to one, but was looking this year for vacation spots and I came across the Beaches resorts. They are owned by Sandals, but are the family oriented resorts. I think they were in places such as Jamaica and Turks and Caicos. From the website they looked pretty fun. Also had lots of friends go on cruises and they said there is a ton of activities to keep the kids and parents busy.
