Have you guys heard anything about him; good or bad? I just found out I'm pregnant (about 5 weeks) and am needing to find a new doctor. I'd like to have a doctor that practices in KS and MO. We live in KS now but are planning to move to MO in March '08. Last time I was high risk so I need someone to be cautious and check everything out, etc. I guess that's my only reservation about having a man...he may not be as cautious as my other doc who was a girl.

What can I do next?

I had complications after my delivery that were unrelated to the pregnancy or birth of my daughter that brought me to St Joseph hospital one week post partum and Capelli's partner was the first Dr that treated me, until they discovered that the problems were not delivery related. Regardless, he continued to come and check on me in the hospital and showed such care that I switched from my previous OB to him. I have stayed with him and had another baby that was delivered by c-section by him and Capelli both. Capelli prediccted the weight of my son to the ounce just looking at me laying on the operating table and never having seen me before. They told me that he was the best at guessing wieghts and was almost always right. I have only seen Capelli twice in the 2 years that I have been going to their practice so I can't say much about him other than I did like his bedside manner and I can tell you that their staff is great.

I highly recommend him. He is my OB GYN and he delivered my third baby, he also did my tubal ligation. He has always been very cautious and attentive to me and my needs.
Congratualtions on the new baby,

Dr. Capelli is the best! He delivered my daughter in 2004 and is still my OBGY. I was also a high risk pregnancy since I was over 35. My husband and I were completely comfortable with him. He discussed everything with us. Capelli is part of a two man practice in partnership with his brother-in-law Dr. Carroso. They are very focused on making sure thier patients get the best care. He returned all my calls presonally and even phoned me at home two weeks after the birth to be sure we were still doing alright.

I went to the KU high risk clinic. Dr Weiner and Dr Bennett. They were wonderful. I had my son in August. They check out everything. I had 3D ultrasounds done weekly since I was high risk and had gestational diabetes. All the residents and staff were expectional.

B., I am a labor and delivery nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center. I ABSOLUTELY love Dr Capelli. I have total trust in his knowledge and skill. If I didn't go to my ObGyn, Stephen Gordon, Dr Capelli is who I would go to. Why do I like Dr Gordon? He does all of his own deliveries which is very nice. Both work in KS and Missouri. If you have any questions, please e-mail me and I can answer more questions or concerns. Truly, love them both.
