My daughter will be starting kindergarten next Fall. We are happy were she is at now, but Children Choices only goes up to Grade K. I am looking for an affordable private school for when she is in 1st grade.

Does anyone have any suggestions of any good private school in Las Vegas, Nevada?

Thank you, A. S.

I have my son in Vegas Valley Christian, it's on Russell & Mountian Vista in the Southeast area, off the 95. I really like it, it goes up to 5th grade. My son is in the daycare room and I pay $465 per month, and by you paying the month in advance then it's 10% off. Their number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps. If you want any more info about it just let me know!

I am not sure where you are located here in Vegas (we just moved back after being gone for 3 years) and have a 4 year old daughter as well. Centennial Hills area, 95/Durange has a private school which just opened either this year or the previous. I have looked into it, and was impressed with their curriculum. I have to be honest, the name has escaped me, but it is located behind the PetSmart etc off off the 215 and Durango. Good luck!

First it depends on what you mean by "affordable". Second, it depends on what type--there are various ones from smaller academies to larger K-12, religious vs non, etc.. You really need to just tour each school, interview the adminsitration and teacher, and decide what works best for your child. Most of the schools are pretty decent (except the public schools), but sometimes there can be an unsuitable teacher in a good school that does not mesh well with you or your child. The best you can do is be pro-active and involved with your child's education without being over-intrusive. Good luck!
