I agree with the other posts--do your research. I did tons of research and finally settled on this:

Good luck. And hang in there!!
My sister in law and my husbands whole family seems to be in love with Advocare and they want me to be a distributor. I am very skeptical about any and all things like this! But, I hate the thought of going back to work and taking my little one to daycare. This is all knew to my family so they are all taken up with it and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. I tend to not think the same way as them - so I would like some advice. The good or the bad, if you've got it - give it to me!!!! PLEASE!

I can absolutely help you work from home! My home phone is ###-###-####, my email - ____@____.com
Hey S.,
I definitely agree with the PP in that you just need to do some research of your own on Advocare. Go to some of the websites designed for work-at-home moms and ask around. You'll get some good feedback.
I just recently started working from home with a health benefits company. It works for me because I can do it on my schedule and not someone else's. It's also great because I don't have to leave to do parties or hold inventory. If you would like more information, feel free to email me at: ____@____.com's not for everyone but we do have thousands of brokers across the country so it's obviously a good match for many.
In any case, good luck with your search. I personally know how hard it is to return to work after having a baby and it STINKS!!

Hi S.
It looks like you have gotten good advice so far. I would do your research first. You said you are skeptical about businesses like that, I was too before I started my own home based business with Arbonne International.
Arbonne is a health and wellness company, it is a direct selling company, some may think it is a pyramid but it is not! Arbonne was rated at #1 under the DSA (Direct Selling Association).
I have 2 boys and one on the way and I do not want to go back to work after I have my 3rd. My mornings are very stressful with trying to get ready for work and get them ready too! I feel like Natzi Mommy. You can look the company up by going to www.arbonne.com. Good luck and if you need anything call me at ###-###-####, I'd be happy to answer any questions!
My only thought is to check out a few websites on really good healthy eating. See what nutrients they say should be in your food. If I am not mistaken Advocare is a supplement, right? If not, disregard this post. :) Just see if the product has in it what should be in a healthy diet. If so and you are providing something good for people, something you can believe in than it probably won't be hard to sell because you like it. If you don't believe in the product for any reason, that will come across to your customer/friends and they will hesitate to buy and your investment money will be down the drain. Good luck whatever you decide.
Hey! I have struggled with this as well! Wish I could stay home with my lil one and raise her myself but I have to work!
I used advocare and LOVED it...never was a seller of it but the person I bought it from sure seemed to like doing it.
A fellow co-worker of mine gave me a website for jobs for stay-at home people. Here is the link...the only bad thing is it IS A JOB so therefore you have to have a schedule but I guess this was Oprah and she talked about it being the only "legit stay-at-home business."

Also if you know people Mary Kay is a good job to bring in a little extra income...the downside you will have to go out and sell it to bring in customers and make any sales!
Good luck to you!
Being skeptical is good. It keeps you from jumping into things before you know more about it. I've used advocare products before and don't have anything negative to say about it. In fact, my husband and I loved the Spark Energy drink and the liquid vitamins.
I think the most important thing is to do something you feel passionate about. This is a business that you are in control of and can make a good amount of money or not, so you have to like it to stay focused and motivated. I sell Pampered Chef on the side because I love the products and love learning about new recipes to feed to my busy family. My main purpose of becoming an independent sale rep was to earn free products.
Bottom line: do it because YOU believe in the company, the products and the services, not because your family does.
Good Luck!
