As the summer months are approaching I enjoy spending more time outdoors with my son. My husband and I like to go walking with him in the early evening. Can anyone recommend a safe bug repellant that I could on my son? I know that anything with Deet is out. I'm not sure which brands are safe for the little guy. Thanks!

Skin-So-Soft from Avon has always worked well with my son and it has sunscreen in it too...doubleduty

I have a recipe for a homemade bug spray that works like a charm. It is perfectly safe...the only thing I use. I'd be happy to give it to you.

Skin so soft from avon is a safe cream that keeps the bugs away. My husband and I even use it when we go camping. My doctor said it was one of the safest bug repellants for children.

We have always used Avons skin so soft oil. We water it down and spray it on and rub it in and have never had a problem.

We used avon but it felt a bit creamy so we swithced to bugmace @ http://www.bugmace.com after reading about it on the travel boards and can tell you it is amazing. A few light sprays and nothing comes near us. We tried the citronella candles with not alot of luck even after setting 8 of the torches outside in the back yard. I read that bugs are attracted to sugar in the blood so maybe watch the sweets?

hope that helps!
