Advise for a Good Carpet Cleaner???

I love my Bissel Proheat 2x. They are so amazing. Very inexpensive for what you are getting. I paid I believe $250 or $300 for mine, but I have used it probably 10 times (I have dogs and a baby, so I clean my carpets often!) It has not worn out my carpet at all, but everytime we clean it it looks like it has just been professionally cleaned! Until my toddler drips juice all over it... Since Professional carpet cleaning services cost $250 and up, the machine is a steal of a deal. The Bissel cleaner that goes in the machine is great too! It smells wonderful and doesn't leave residue! I don't feel like it is a harsh chemical at all either! I think that the machine does most of the cleaning, not the cleaner substance. Good Luck! Keep in mind, they always put the vacuum cleaners on big time sale around Thanksgiving and Christmas! You should be able to find a really awesome deal on any carpet cleaning machine on Black Friday! Used them in the spring after asking the same question here - they were great! It's truck-mounted steam-cleaning, very reasonably priced because they rely on referrals vs. using outside advertising. They were prompt, courteous, and got out all stains - especially impressive since I have 3 children and a dog. Definitely 4 stars!

We actually bought a steam cleaner a couple years back so we use it weekly but more for spot treatment rather than everything. When our carpets actually got really bad the last time and wanted to do the whole house, we called Dalworth. Very professional, and friendly. They did a GREAT job. We have 3 dogs and 2 kids. The dogs are really bad on the carpets....

K., a little background before I do my recommendation - I have 2 dogs (one is a puppy and the other VERY old - so they both pee in my house - UGH), 2 cats, and 2 young boys - in other words - my carpets are always in the need of a cleaning!!

For the last 5 years (as long as I've lived in Dallas), I have used Cornerstone Chem-Dry exclusively. They were recommeded to me when I moved here and I love their work. They are professional and prompt. I use them 2 times a year (although I should do it 4 times with all the drama my carpets go through). They actually provide a protectant product which works wonders in the interim and do a great product for animal urine (I think it's called PURT). They came out about a months ago and I swear it looked like I got new carpets!!!

I just used their Grout cleaning for the first time this year and may become an addict. They cleaned the grout in my kitchen and bathrooms and WOW - I have to admit, I was a little shocked that my grout was cream underneath all the gray!!!

I had my carpets cleaned in May for a graduation party. They,carpet tech, did a wonderful job and wasn't as exspensive as I thought it would be. Though I wanted to add that since yall have bad backs you will not want to move the furniture out of the rooms. They charge extra to do that. Plus,its a pain if you dont have anywhere to put the furniture. EVERYTHING except the very large items have to be cleared from the room. Plus,always check for coupons. Hope this helps.

If the moving of furniture is $$ get a couple of teens in your area and pay them this way all will benefit.Plus if you ever have spots or have animals that have potty in side use Windex I now get it by the gallon.Works amazing plus no color prob use it in my auto also.

KIWI carpet cleaner is GREAT imo. The first time is somewhat expensive (but Still lower than other companies imo) and the best part is after that you get a cleaning for an entire year, as often as you like, for $25+$4 a room, AWESOME deal imo! And if you have little kids, I get mine cleaned 4 times a year. The cleaner is "green" friendly and smells orangy. They do say it dries in an hour, but it usually takes about 2 for mine. If you refer a friend they will waive the $25 fee and only charge you $4 a room. Email me to give them my name if you end up using them :)

I have tried several different ones but wasn't a 100% happy until I went with Dalworth. I will only call them now.
