Has another taken their under 13 year old daughter to see 27 Dresses? I received a call from my daughters friends Mom who asked if she can take the girls to see the movie? I haven't seen the movie yet but it's been one I wanted to see. Is the movie appropriate for young girls under 13?
I took my 14 year old to see it, good movie. I don't think there is anything explicit about the movie. I think she'll enjoy it.
My 12 year old daughter and her driend went to see it a few weeks ago and loved it. I checjed into it online and it seemed to be ok.

I guess that depends on you and her, her previous experiences with movies, maturity, etc. I thought it was a rather predictable but cute movie. It is rated PG-13 for language, some innuendo and sexuality, you can find out why any movie is rated what it is at www.filmratings.com. But that only gives you part of the picture. It does involve young single men and women that drink, flirt, have sex, etc, but it is not a big part of the movie. Probably the most "risque" part of the movie is when the main character, Jane, and a reporter with whom she has a love/hate relationship get drunk together and end up having sex and spending the night in the car (waiting for a tow truck). But she does express remorse in the morning, repeatedly stating she is "not that kind of girl", etc. She is otherwise rather straight-laced. With any movie you are concerned about I always think it is good if you can see it with her to know exactly what she saw and be there for any questions/discussion of the movie or certain scenes. Or better yet, see it first yourself and then decide.
