I like the idea of adopting-a-family so you know where your gift goes. Is there a good program out there, like one that helps womens' shelters where holiday gift giving is more personal than dropping toys into an overflowing bin?
Thanks.

My kids are signed up for toys for tots but if I could afford to do this I would contact area churches or the Salvation Army. One year my kids were adopted through the Salvation Army. This year, funds are really tight because we had to move and my 16 year old daughter is pregnant. I admire you for doing this, I hope in the future I can afford to.

Check with your township trustee, they always have needy families that appreciate any assistance they can get.

The Julian Center downtown Indy is a shelter for abused women and children. They have a website, and on that website is a list of things they are currently in need of. It's a wonderful organization, and it helps mommies and kids---so it's right up our alley! :)
