Hi Ladies,
I'm just wandering if any of you have ever used accupressure on your kids to help with eczema. My seven year old daughter has terrible eczema. We have tried using all kinds of creams and meds. nothing seems to help and if it does its only temparay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

In my experience with myself and son, it can be effective for some things, but really what they would be doing would be likely treating for certain food allergies. While I believe many food allergies can be treated, I do not believe things like gluten and dairy can be effectively treated once the immune reaction has been triggered - the gluten in particular. Now, these practitioners will tell you that they can, but I have been treated both with NAET/accupuncture and bioresonance for gluten and dairy and I can tell you that I still have strong reactions to both. So, as someone else recommended, I would first get some allergy testing done (IgG - delayed reactions) and remove the top culprits. You can get tested for the reactions to gluten, dairy, eggs, yeast and soy at enterolab. www.enterolab.com You don't need a doctor's order and very few doctors understand delayed reactions to foods or gluten intolerance. So, I can't recommend this test highly enough - you will spend a whole lot more money going another route - believe me - I spend thousands of dollars trying to figure out what was going on with myself and sons before I found the enterolab test. So, in the end, it was a true bargain.

Do a search on NAET.com to find someone in your local area who provides these treatments. I would also not rule out a fungal infection that has finally made it's way through your daughter's system and is now pushing out through the skin. Dr. Chalmers in Frisco is a chiropractor who also uses additional nutritional methods to help with this. One of my friends was actually featured on Channel 8 because he helped her daughter regain her life. Google "Jeannie Tays and Channel 8" and watch the clip. Scary stuff...yet totally cool.

Hello M.,

I would definitely try it. It's non-invasive, non-chemical. By the way, has she been tested for allergies? What's she eating that might be making it worse? (soy, wheat, gluten, ragweeds --lettuce, sunflower seeds/oil, are ragweeds...) Good luck! ~C.~

try mixing 1/3 dreft with 2/3 water in a container and apply it over the area after her bath. Do not rinse it off till next day bath. Try a small area first and watch for any bad reactions, as with anything you put on your skin it can react negative.
