We are going to Disneyland for the first time with our 5 year old. Do you think it is wise to take our large stroller for hold stuff and in case he gets tired?

What can I do next?

We just did Disneyland a few weeks ago and took our 5 year old in a stroller albeit one we rented from them however have previously taken the large stroller of our own. In our case we received a special needs pass due to my child's abilities so we were able to keep the stroller with us throughout lines and other things. However, even if we could not do that I still would've preferred to use a stroller because Disneyland is huge and while fun is very tiring on adults with all the walking and standing in line let alone a young child. I would say definitely take it.

I would definitely take your large stroller, I've even had to do a quick diaper change in mine (take the big changing pad!). And you can't beat the large canopy (plus a blanket to cover) for the likelihood of needing a nap when they are worn out or even for shade.

How big is your "large stroller"? We were SO glad to have a stroller for our 4 year old when we went 2 years ago. BUT, I would say don't take one of the huge ones...just a simple umbrella stroller is perfect. You can put your stuff them, especially if they have the net underneath. But the big bulky strollers are a pain to maneuver and difficult if you are using the trains to get from the parking lot to the entrance.

I'm not sure what type of stroller you're referring to but I always recommend a stroller...and we always take our own so that we can stroll tired/sleeping children back to the buses after a long day in the parks. We love our Citymini by Babyjogger. It is much easier to fold up to get on and off the transportation in and out of the parks. Good luck and have fun!

If for not other reason they are a great way to leave your thing behind when you go on lines. We always take one for baby, but 4.5 year old sister usually gets pooped and gets a ride or two. the only downfall is that it harder to weave through traffic. Way more up sides than downsides to the stroller.

You will regret not having your stroller. Trust me.
We have had annual passes since 2005 and go a lot. First trip my boys were 1 1/2 & 3 1/2, we've since added my third which is now 3. The other 2 are 11 & 8 and even now the 8 yr old will get in the stroller at the end of a really long night every once in a while to get to the car because he's just beat while I carry the littlest. It is also a safe place when you are in crowds. I don't know what time of year you are planning on going but it can get like a sardine can and even if it is something your child can normally walk, it will make them very uncomortable and people just don't look for little kids (I know, insane considering where you are but, seriously..my kids have been run by people in a hurry to get by!)
Being able to keep snacks and drinks in the bottom is great as well as jackets (even in the summer, a hoodie at night is a must!). Plus diapers etc.
He will get tired and I can guess you don't want to carry him the whole time.

If you are planning to stay the whole day, definitely take one. We always have one for my five year old unless we are only staying 3-4 hours tops.
