You'd think I might have a clue about this, owning a bookstore, but I need some suggestions!
I have not one but two friends looking for advice books on how to overcome feelings of betrayal by their husbands. Both ladies have been married for a long time but just recently discovered their husbands were keeping ugly secrets from them. The two situations couldn't be more different, but the feelings seem to be the same for the women. I should mention one thinks her marriage may be salvageable, but the other says her sitch is a deal-breaker. Either way, both friends are looking for something to help them cope with the feeling that they never REALLY knew their guys.
Can any mamas recommend a helpful title? Thanks!

'Women Who Run With the Wolves' by Clarissa Pinkola Estes always makes me feel better in any bad situation. It isn't about relationships per se, but about your relationship with yourself. But somehow I always find something relevant when bad things or bad people happen. It may help give them the strength to deal with their husbands.
Lord Heal My hurt by Kay Arthur.
The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Laura Slesenger saved my marriage. Don't agree with her stance on the woman's movement, but she could not be any more dead on about how men tick. Mine really would swim through shark infested waters to buy me a lemonade.
Not sure it will help them deal with betral, but it sure will give them some insight on how to get what they want out of the relationship in the future, and if they are willing to believe it, they can take advantage of how men think and feel, and the best part is, they not only don't care that you are manipulateing them, they like it. Mine does. He gets what he needs, and life is terrific.
