I would recommend Hope Cottage. They are wonderful and would meet your needs. You can call Leslie Clay at ###-###-####. She works there and may not be the right person but can direct you on who to speak with. Good luck!
We are looking for a reputable adoption agency for domestic infant adoption. We live in the Dallas area and are not religious which seems to exclude us from some agencies. Does anyone have any experience/ideas? Thank you!!

We used Gladney center for adoption & they are in Fort worth. They are the oldest agency in Texas! They know their stuff! They have awesome facilities & do their best for both birth parents & adoptive parents. We were very pleased with how experience. Of course the journey is very emotional & taxing, but they were always very professional & helpful. Adoption has been one of the best things i have ever done, it is an amazing thing. Our birthparents were married, just young & had several children already. Gladney was able to get medical history on both sides & as far back as grandparents!! Ours was semi open, meaning that they know our first names & that we live in Texas & we send correspondence thru the agency & when my daughter is 18, then the agency will release info on both sides if she chooses & they do. They actually gaves us their names so we do know them & where they live. Only con to Gladney is they are the cadillac of all agencies & are pricey due to all that they provide. you can check out their website.....Best of luck. Oh, our daughter was born in Texas and she was placed in my arms at 4 days old!
A friend in Chicago recently told me about an agency called The Cradle Society. It is based in Evanston, IL, but handles domestic adoptions all over the U.S. She knows of at least two people who have successfully adopted children through this agency. The website is www.cradle.org. My brother and SIL are working with an agency in Minneapolis, but I think they handle only MN adoptions. Good luck!
Adoption Center of Kansas!!!!! VERY GOOD, NOT RELIGIOUS. AWSOME STAFF. Send me a private message if you want more details.
Also there is Adoption Alliance in TX I think. We interviewed them and liked them too!
We adopted our son domestically at birth eight years ago from Hope Cottage Agency in Dallas. We had no problems with them whatsoever. The only time religion came up was when we had to fill out the first set of paperwork, and that only ask what kind of religion we were if any. It never was mentioned again. The best of luck and happiness with your adoptioin!
Have you looked into the department of human services? They may have children whose parental rights have been severed. I know in Iowa there are lots of children who need parents and are up for adoption.
We adopted without using an agency. We looked into several agencies (including going to orientations) & while they all do wonderful work, we think the system is flawed. Good people who are not wealthy but want to become parents should not be forced to go deep into debt to adopt a child, and even the non-profits (except one we found in Nashville) tend to charge at least $20,000 placement fee. We did a great deal of research & found another way. We told everyone we knew we wanted to adopt-- friends, family, co-workers-- everyone! We found a social work agency to conduct our home study & give us guidance. They were amazing. They are called Children's Connection-- you can email the director Debora at ____@____.com for more on what they offer. They partner with quite a few adoption agencies and often help them find families to match with birth parents. Anyway, we found our daughter through a friend of my friends mother-in-law-- you just never know! She will be 2 in June & we are trying again-- meeting with the daughter of my mom's friend this week who is due in June. Adoption is WONDERFUL. Good luck with your future baby! Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.
