Hi. It's becoming increasingly clear to me that my 11 year old son needs to be evaluated for ADD (not ADHD - the issue is attentional). I really don't know where to start. Can anyone recommend an excellent evaluator, preferably on the West side, who is somewhat reasonably priced?
Thanks so much.

My daughter is 12 and she started showing the signs at the end of 4th grade. I talked to my pediatrician and she diagnosed her and gave her a perscription. But there is a great research group at UCLA studding ADD. Ther pay you for your visits and the meds are free. We were in the study for over a year.

Hello B., contact your son's school or school district. They should provide the testing for you. They did it for my son, actually suggested it. :) Good luck to you!

Before your son is labeled ADD you may want to have his thyroid check, food allergies (especially dairy), heavy metals and for yeast (candida). Treat the cause naturally. Meds are toxic to the liver and have many side effects.
