I have a very active, smart and fun 3 year old. I'm looking for activities besides parks and the library for her. Anyone know of any good ideas let me know. Thank you
You could go to the IGH community center. They have a pool and a playground. I havent been yet but am going tomorrow to check it out. I've heard its a lot of fun. Its $7/person which is a little pricey but if your child likes the water its worth it. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

We just did a class at Como Zoo and my three year old loved it. They have limited offerings for three year olds, but we're signed up for the next one too. http://www.comozooconservatory.org/education/classes/thre...
This might sound strange but my husband sometimes takes the kids for a ride on the light rail. My three year old daughter loves it as does my one year old son. She talks about their adventures on the bus and train for weeks afterwards.

I have 4 small children of my own, and also run a daycare from my home. If you have regular access to a computor, go to Crayola.com. They have wonderful coloring pages to print,as well as daily crafts that are relitivly inexpensive and fun to do. All of the kids in my care enjoy our "project time". Also, the Children's Museum in St.Paul has FREE admition every 3rd Sunday.
I would recommend a membership at the Minnesota zoo. I have two girls; a 4 yr old and 2 yr old, and they love to go to the zoo year round. It's especially nice in the winter. They can check out the two trails indoors and they contstantly have fun activities planned at the zoo that the girls enjoy, and it never seem to get old for them. In one year we "met" Dora and Maisy, and they still talk about that. Every year they have Santa at the zoo as well, for free - and he's a really great Santa. The membership pays for itself after only a couple of visits. There is a ton of information on the zoo website: http://www.mnzoo.com/. I would definitely recommend checking it out. The annual membership for household is only $75. If it's just you and your daughter, you may even be able to get by with the Individual plus 1, which is only $55.
