My son likes the fisher price blocks that have different things inside of them or different textures on the outside. They are the ones that go with the wagon, hippo and a few other toys. He likes to look at them and he loves when I stack them up so he can knock them down. My son is now 10 1/2 months old but has been playing with them for a few months.
He also seems to like playing with the Weebles and the Weeble Treehouse. It makes noises and now that he is standing he likes to stand at it and open the top.
Other things he likes... Pots, pans, spoons, spatulas, plastic ware. He likes to bang them together to make noise or bang them on the floor and sometimes he pretends like he is feeding himself.
Another favorite that he is NOT allowed to have (because HE eats it) is cardboard. He likes the noises it makes. He likes to bend it. But he refuses to keep it out of his mouth. And as you are aware, there really isn't any reasoning with a baby.
At that age, he also loved his walker. In his walker, he could follow me all over the house and run my toes over constantly.
Anyhow, I'm sure there are a lot more things out there. But I hope this helps you out a little. Good luck.
