Acne Breakouts at 26 - Jefferson,TX

Never in my life have I had to deal with bad acne breakouts. I'd get a pimple here and there every once in a while. I was lucky. Then I turned 26. I have a ton of tiny clogged pores and under-the-skin-painful pimples on my chin and upper lip. The tiny ones aren't really noticable unless you get really close. Maybe TMI but when I squeeze and pick at them (I know I'm not suppose to) a long string of white junk comes out. The pimples are very hard to pop and painful. I have tried many products and techniques, except Proactiv (too expensive). Has anyone else experienced this?

The only routine that is realtively helping is the Oil Cleansing Method and a facial spin brush. And facials when I can afford them. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe the cause would be helpful to.

I'm a paleo (eat only fresh fruit and veggies and lean meats) so its not my diet. I drink plenty of water too (being the only drink I can drink besides coconut water being a paleo) Hormones?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

No been a paleo for awhile. Long enough for the toxins to not be so bad as to cause this. As for the bread. I make my own at home. My favorite is the coconut flour bread and the health nut bread. Ingredients are expensive though but definately cheaper than store bought.

Not sure how long you've been on a paleo diet but if it is something you haven't been doing for too long perhaps your body is purging the toxins from itself? It is of course also very possible to have a hormone imbalance. Also, if you are on any medications(vitamins included)it is possible this could be an effect of those as well. When all else fails look to your doctor or naturopath to help find the cause and possible solutions.

I agree with Proudpanmomof2. I was thinking you might be a recent Paleo and you are releasing toxins.

Also (not related to your topic), Do you eat the Paleo bread? I am going to purchase it, yet a small loaf in $10. Is that the going rate or do you know if I get a better deal?

I know your diet is good but when I was that age I also had bad acne and went to a homeopathic doctor for something else. He took a stool sample and I had some kind of bad parasite or bacteria and he gave me supplements and my skin cleared up and was great. Taking probiotic/acidophalus type stuff helped too.
Birth control pills work also.

You can still try proactive. Walmart brand Equate has the 3step wash for only $11. I could only use proactive to help my f e breakouts and it has gotten very expensive over the years and started researching last year and found this a Walmart for the fraction of the price. Hope this helps good luck.

Try washing your face with castor oil. When you shower put a quarter size in your palm and rub your hands together and put all over your face and around your eyes and on your neck. Continue your shower and the last thing you do is splash warm water on your face and rinse. Your face will still have some of the oil on it, just pat it gently with your towel.

The castor oil will pull out the bad oils and clear up your skin. I do this everyday, my sis & SIL have been doing this for 2years. Try this for at least 2 weeks.
