Has anyone been to this museum? I am thinking of visiting soon with my 2 daughters (8.5 and 6). My 8.5 year old is excited to go as she has been learning about Lincoln and Illinois. I'm afraid that it won't hold the interest of my 6 year daughter. The website suggests it's best for 4th grade students and above. :(

Please share your experiences with me.

I agree with Jennifer G. We took our boys when they were that age and we all thought it was great.

I loved it! I've only been there twice. We took our neices when they were about 6 & 8. The 8 year old loved it. The 6 year old was interested in parts but not as excited. There are a couple of interactive shows. They're pretty good. Also, there's "Mrs. Lincon's Attic." It has dress up clothes and lots of things to play with. It's also one of the few areas where you're aloud to take pictures.

There are many Lincoln sites that are free: Lincon's Home, Lincoln's Tomb, the Old State Capitol. All really good places to visit.

That sounds like fun! We took our 3 year old to the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center thinking she might be bored, but my husband had never been. She ended up loving it and telling everyone how cool the space museum was.
