So I don't use blog sites much and I see alot of abbreviating here. Like 'DD' and 'SIL' and 'DH'. Can you guys please tell me some of the common abbreviations that are used so I know what everyone is talking about and I don't feel like such a dummy? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

This was confusing for me too, at first. The "D_" usually stands for Dear as in Dear Son, Dear Daughter (the DD), Dear Husband... I'm not sure how it got started, as family members aren't always so dear. "_IL" is in-laws. SIL -sister in Law; MIL mother in law, etc. etc. SAHM (stay at home mom) SO- significant other; WAHM (work at home mom).

For what it's worth, I haven't seen abbreviations for aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.

You also will see CIO = cry it out, BF = breastfeeding, CD = cloth diapering. I don't know many more either because my brain can't process too many abbreviations at one time. I would end up reading posts over and over to understand! That and abbreviations used in texting - no clue.

Thanks for asking...I feel so dumb sometimes I just let the messages go since I have no idea what they are talking about. This has been most helpful.
