A Place That Will Buy Furniture

Does anyone know of a place that will buy furniture or electronics?

My parents recently moved and dropped off random household "stuff" and clothes at my house hoping that I would have a garage sale soon. I have 2 TV's, a couch and a desk (in good condition)that is taking up space. I was going to have a garage sale but the last commmunity garage sale we had there wasn't a lot of traffic. And I'm just to busy with the kids on the weekends to even attempt to have another garage sale. Any ideas?

I can't tell you how much stuff we have sold and bought on this site! It's almost like an online garage sale. It's free. You can request cash only. You set the price, but I would leave some room for negotiation. People contact you via the site through email, so they don't have your contact info unless you give it to them. They have to work around your schedule. We have had a lot of success with this site.

Don't know where you live, but some great places in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area are Consign & Design, Furniture Buy Consignment, and Second Home Furniture (all on Main Street/1171). I just got $75 for a chair that had been hanging out in my garage for a year!

Try "Kiss it Goodbuy" in Grapevine on Main Steet.

i have sold a ton of stuff on craigslist also and bought just as much! the other post said "they work around your schedule" that's true to a point but if you aren't somewhat accommodating in your time they will say never mind and move on to something else. if i've learned anything from selling on craigslist it's to sell immediately if someone is interested, otherwise they find something else, things come up and they can't make it etc. good luck, it really is very easy to post on craigslist plus don't forget you can repost every 48 hours to keep the items fresher in peoples minds.

Craigslist is a great place to post ads. You can put a picture of what you are selling with each item and ask what you want for it. Be sure to state "Cash and carry" and don't accept any second party/money order and ship items (scams, one and all), but I have sold things on craigslist and bought things too. Just last week sold my teen's full size bed and bought a twin set because I'm moving into a new home with small kids rooms.

Since you don't want to bother with a garage sale - you could list it on Craig's List or donate it to a local charity.

Dear Jamie,
I have had great luck with Craigs List. Go to Craigslist.org and you can post pictures and text for free. Pay special attention to the information about scams. They are out there and very easy to recognize whe you are armed with the facts.

good luck,
