Bed bugs do not typically live in storage sheds (as there are no human hosts that live in those areas). Did you put some bedding in there, or some old suitcases that they could have crawled out of? I have heard of some other species related to bed bugs that feast on swallows and bats. Call an exterminator and look around for nests of any kind around that shed. Getting rid of the nest (if you find one) might help.

A have heard that in the past people used something to get rid of them that you cannot buy now. I can't remember what it was called, but I am sorry to say, to my knowledge you can't buy anything to get rid of bed bugs, you have to call an exterminator. I hope I am wrong. If they are bed bugs, get rid of them FAST. I have heard that although they aren't ones to carry disease, they bite you when you sleep.
Good luck, wish I could have been more helpful

Hi S.,
I am not an expert and have not had bed or clothing bugs in the home before, but I do have an ortho book on hand and it reccomends "useing an insecticide with at least 2% malathion or ronnel to spray on floor boards and baseboards and any wall crevices. They are acitve at night and do their feeding then. They leave dark spotted stains on clothing and bedding. If they infest the home in laundry and beds, the beds can be srayed with 1% of the same in the seams and tufts. Let them dry completly before useing. Do not spray infant cribs or bedding. Launder all bedding throughly and keep house clean". Hopefully that will help you. Also- I use the orthohome defense spray all around the outside and inside of our home. It seems to be keeping all things crawly out, and is safe for kids and pets after is is dry.
Good luck!!
as a side note: I also homeschool and run a home business- keep up the great work!!

Call either Capital Pest Service at ###-###-#### or Bulwark at ###-###-####. They should be able to take care of the pest problem and tell you how to prevent. I use them for pest control on a bi-monthly basis. Keeps everything out of the house.

Good luck. Nothing worse than creepy crawlers!

I did my own pest control too at one time when I lived in Georgia where all the bugs are just really bad. Go to www.domyownpestcontrol.com and you can read and find out what exactly you have and then you can order accordingly. This is where alot of the pest control people order their own products from.
Good luck.

PS.... Congrats on your 30 yr old son and a 6 yr old daughter.
I have a 22 yr old and a 2 yr old. Motherhood is so much better in my 40's. I love it.

You can't see bed bugs that I am aware of. They are super tiny plus being outside would be strange. There are lots of other bugs and I would see if I could find out what kind of bug it is if I were you. Then you will know if it is something to worry about or not.
