A Good Cloth Training Pant That Work for Nightime?

Hey everyone -

My two oldest kiddos, 3 and 4, are daytime potty trained, but we are still working on the night time stuff. I was wondering if anyone has found a good cloth pull up type pant that could be used at night? I'd like them to be able to get up and go and easily go back to bed, but with a diaper they can't do it on their own. Any suggestions would be appricated! Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the advice. We are at the point where the kids do get up occasionally at night, so something they can pull down and pull up themselves is what we need! My oldest was also potty trained prior to two, I think partly because of the cloth and partly because of her sensitve skin. My other one was trained by 2.5, but loves the cloth and hates when we use disposible (like on trips and such) We will give a few a try and see what happens! Thanks!

I am still using diapers (cloth) at night for my 2 y/o but I wanted to add that qt buns do not work well enough for overnight unless you put plastic pants over the top. AND to the person who responded that cotton/or cloth does not absorb well, I wanted to say that I have exclusively cloth diapered 3 children from the time my oldest was 10 months old, and it absolutely works. Not only that but it speeds up the potty training process not like disposables that slow it down. My children were all day trained before their 2nd birthday. I have heard good things about mothease but never tried them myself. I really like the look of the Antsy Pants but I was never willing to spend that much. There are cheaper options out there. Good Luck Mama!

Although I have not used their pullup pant, Motherease makes really wonderful cloth diapers and I know they have a training pullup. Do a search on Amazon.com if you're not familiar with them (and I'm sure they have their own website, too). Good luck.

EDIT: Quick Google search: http://www.mother-ease.com/ They have overnight pants and bedwetter pants. Check it out!

Happy Heinys Pocket Trainers work well overnight. They have a pocket to stuff however you need. They also come big for older kids. They are on our website here:

We also have more in the store that aren't up on the website yet.

Cloth doesn't absorb very well, so if you want cotton just go with panties.

We use pull ups, the point of pull ups is that the little ones can get them up and down. Little ones don't usually wake up to go urinate during the night until they are older than yours so don't be surprised if it takes a few more years for them to be able to feel the urge to go, wake up, and make it to the toilet.

The ones we but have Buzz Lightyear and Woody on them, they are dark blue, overnight pull ups. We buy them at Wal-Mart for about $15 for 40 or so.

Hey H.,
Try Sweet Beginnings in Littleton, the owner is fantastic work with and muchj more knowledgable then some of the other cloth diapers stores in Denver and surrounding.

H., I don't know if this will work for you, but it was an instant cure for us. When they wet the bed, they have to change the bedding - with help of course. My son was fully potty trained day and night at 33 months and I'm pretty sure that this was part of the reason. He quickly decided there were more fun things to do than change the sheets!

I haven't used them for nighttime, as we aren't there yet, but I got some awesome training pants on www.etsy.com. They have a layer of PUL in the middle of them to keep the wetness at bay.

The mama who makes them has a ton of patterns and they were really nice.

Here's the link. http://www.etsy.com/shop/qtbunns?ref=seller_info

these work well for overnight and can be pulled up and down like underwear... night time diapers just make potty training last longer so whatever you decide steer clear of the pull ups.... w/cloth they will feel the wetness if they go in them.

I would recommend night time underwear. They have a plastic layer on the outside in case of accidents. My experience with pull-ups is that they are too much like diapers and it doesn't encourage the kiddos to go on the potty. The night time underwear make it feel more like wearing underwear.
