So, I asked this a couple of weeks ago, but there were a lot of requests that day and it didn't make it into the daily digest, so I thought I'd try again.
Would anyone be up for a gigantic Mom's Night Out? I thought it would be awesome if we scheduled an evening when it's sure to be warm and took over the Plaza. Maybe we could even do something with wristbands (like the "live strong" or breast cancer awareness ones) that would let the businesses there know we were a part of the Mom's Night Out and pre-arrange with some of them for special discounts, etc.
Let me know if you would want to come to something like this, and also if you know any of the businesses well enough to ask for the special discount. Also, if you have extraordinary administrative abilities and any amount of time to help out, that would be great information as well!

It sounds like a great Idea! I am new to the mamasource community and would really like to meet some fabulous mom's.I would be happy to help call businesses and make any arrangements needed.I do have experience with some of that. I am mother to a wonderful 28 month little girl and am expecting again.
I think it would be fun! I would love to have a conversation that didn't involve "goggies" or "balls." ;)

That does sound like a GREAT idea. I would be interested, although I don't have a ton of extra time, I would try to help all I could. Just let me know if it becomes a go and I will be there to help.
That would be a great idea- but what area are you in? While the posts are sorted by regions I think the regions can be rather large. I live in Illinois and get posts from people in Kansas as part of my 'region'. Not an easy commute for a mom's night out -- and I am not familiar with the Plaza so assume you are not in the St Louis area??
I'm not a mom yet, unless you count our two dogs :) I have never heard of a Mom's Night Out. Have you done this before? What does it entail? It sounds fun and I would be interested.
