Hi V.,
If you have been working out regularly, you can still continue to work out. The exercise restriction is typically for those who haven't been working out and want to begin a heavy workout routine which may add stress to the body and baby. However, if you have been working out, you can continue to do so. I wouldn't lift any heavy weights though, and listen to your body. Once you get past the first trimester, you may find it a little more difficult to exercise using your regular workout routine, so be sure to scale it down. Regarding the soft cheese, it is okay to eat soft cheese as long as it is pasteurized. Most soft cheeses are NOT pasteurized. That is why it recommended that you stay away from them. However, if you look at the label and see that it is pasteurized, then you are okay to have it. As far as crab legs, do you have any seafood allergies in your family? If not, then you can probably safely have it occasionally. I wouldn't eat it often though. Also, you might want to check out the list of fish which you should avoid during pregnancy. Definitely, no raw fish. Also, when I was pregnant, my OB advised me not to consume deli/sandwich meats due to possible bacterial infection/e.coli contamination, etc. This is also true when consuming any raw foods including salad. Wash your fruits and veggies thoroughly. Be careful with the animals you have in your home. Be sure to have your hubby clean up the litter for all the animals, especially if you have a cat. Have a safe and healthy pregnancy!
