Hi-
We recently had a new furnace put in and a new thermostat. I am not sure, but I don't think we tried our A/C afterwards. Anyway, we can't get our A/C to come on and I am hoping that it is the result of a bad thermostat installation. Can anyone recommend a good heating and a/c company? The heating company we used was terrible and should have their doors closed forever!

Hi N.,
We just had the opposite happen. We had A/C put in, then the furnace didn't work AND it was the result of the thermostat "not connecting" with the furnace. If you have a battery powered thermostat, be sure to check the battery, because that would cause it to not work, but if you have a "direct connection" (wired/electrical thermostat), turn off the A/C and the heat, then take the cover off VERY gently and make sure the pins are all straight. Then pop it back on VERY carefully, then turn on the A/C to 60 to see if kicks on. Then turn it off again if that works, then turn the heat on to 90 to see if that kicks on. If that doesn't work, I do have a guy who is very good and TAKES HIS TIME to make sure everything is good before he leaves the house. I'll find out if he goes to the Schaumburg area.
Hi N.,
My name is E. and my husband does heating and air conditioning for 7 years. He can come and service and or check out your furnace, a/c, whatever needs to be done for a fairly decent price. If you are interested please contact him on his cell at ###-###-####. Hope this helps you. :)
I had the same issue and actually my furance repairman broke my ac so not only did I get a new furance I now have to get a new AC. So I would suggust not to use All In One Heating and Cooling, they need to be closed. I called Sears and I bought a new furance, thermostat and now a new Ac.
