Does anyone know of any federal or state programs that could help a young 23 year old mother of 5 small children find a home? She has a job, but cannot afford the high prices of rent around Clarksville...there has got to be something?

I am a real estate agent in clarksville and there is a state program called section 8. I am not sure how you apply for it but I know it helps with housing costs. If you need more information I can try and get it for you, email me at ____@____.com

This is a government program. The amount you pay is based on income.

She could call DCS or DHS and ask them or to be safe someone else call for her. I have been in the same boat before and I know the feeling. I know theres Habitat for Humanity, Section 8 or HUD, low income rental places although most try to put you in the projects. Maybe just rent a trailer which usually runs about 235$ monthly and up. She may end up having to double up kids acording to ages and sexes into the same rooms but its better than not having a place. I know trailer parks are bad but maybe then she can start saving up money for a better place later. Good Luck ____@____.com
