Hi, my 9 years old is sleeping about 5-6 hours during the day and 10-11 hours during night. Is this normal?
He has always slept a lot, but since 7-8 months he is sleeping 15 hours from 24. Now he sleeps 17-18 hours (he is oversleeping for 3-4 days- does the hot weather make him sleep longer?
He is very active when he is awake, he plays, laughs, crawls...When I take a toy from his hands or when I don't let him go where he wants he stars crying..is this ok?
I just want to know how your babies behave at this stage.

Thank you!

My daughter is 12 months and I talked to a sleep consultant about her. She sleeps 12 hours at night and about 5-6 hours during the day. It's normal at this age. They'll start sleeping less at about 18 months. Take advantage of it while you can. And yes, somedays they will sleep even more than that and it's usually a growth spurt. My daughter will a ton for a week and then the next week all she does is eat.

He is growing fast & needs the sleep, 12-16 hours is not unusual for babies. Teething, mobility, new experiences, fresh air, all of it can be exhausting.

My son, for the 1st year, took at least 3 naps a day. 2 hours each.
He was a good napper and sleeper.
And I was glad.
His sister was the direct opposite!

Babies sleep a lot.
They are growing.
Make sure he is nursing on-demand.

My grandson, 13 months, is a good napper two long naps 2-3 hours each
and sleeps all night. Some kids are good sleepers and some are not.
My son was not and I wanted to shoot myself LOL. As long as he is active
and healthy do not worry.
