My little one has developed some raised red bumps with white centers on each knee, some on one arm, and one on the heel of her hand. They have very gradually come along over the past 3 days and she has no visible bumps or sores in her mouth or any rashes on the rest of her body. The bumps don't appear to bother her but she has been very irritable at times and sleepless for the past3 days as well. She also shows no interest in eating at certain times but at others does. she gets fussy in the highchair when she is eating sometimes but that could be because she wants to be held. She has also been rubbing her face and eyes a lot. Anyone have any insight about this?? We see the doc tomorrow.

This doesn't sound like an allergic reaction, or a reaction to vaccination -- it sounds more viral or bacterial. Is she running a fever at all? Do the white centers seem pus-filled, liquidy, or solid? Are they starting to crust? All those things will be looked at by the Dr. to help reach a diagnosis. Any information you can provide to the doc about recent history will be helpful, like if she's come in contact with another child who had a virus. BTW, my first thought was chicken pox, but those vesicles usually appear on the chest and trunk, first.
possibly a mild case of chicken pox which they can get EVEN with the shot good luck

My son had similar sounding bumps when he was around 10 months. The pediatrician said they were baby acne--but we were not convinced. They never seemed to bother him, but didn't go away, so we went back and asked again. The doctor thought it might be molluscum (molluscum contagiosum) so he sent us to a kid-friendly dermotologist, and sure enough it was. He had had it for several months and we needed to put medicine on each spot until they were gone(a long painful process that took a few more months to finally go away). It is highly contagious and can pass along to other children as well. It may be worth asking if it is molluscum and maybe checking on the internet to see if her bumps look similar or the symptoms are the same.
it could be hand foot mouth. my daughter got this a little older at 13 months. she had bumps on her hands and feet but not in the mouth. also she had a nasty diaper rash down her legs which babies that get hand foot mouth can typically get. she could be rubbing her eyes a lot from being tired if she has hardly slept. my daughter barely slept the whole time she had hand foot mouth. it took my daughter about a month to get over and a big FYI its very contagious from child to child. your oldest may have not show sign of it because shes older. but it is a viral think like chicken pox and you just have to ride it out. what my dr said i could do to help with her irritability and sleep was give her 1/4-1/3 tspn of childrens benadryl it makes them sleepy so it helped her sleep and not be so irritatd. good luck i hope this isnt what she has please keep us posted.
So when did she last have any shots and whatever you do, do not let her have any until you figure out what this is.
They could just be bug bites of some kind but you also need to know if it is the body pushing something out.
Another thing is is it welts, an allergic reaction to something? Once you find out from the doctor (and don't accept the "oh it's nothing let's wait and see if she outgrows it) then report back to the group.
