My little one did the same thing. He sounds like a little chipmunk ever since 1.5 weeks old.
My little one did that too, turns out she was constipated. I mixed 1 oz water with 1 oz prune juice and that fixed her right up.
I dunno my son I call him a dolphin because he makes soo many noises! But it might be just normal, plus they like to hear themselves!!
My 3 1/2 week old is currently in my arms making those same sounds LOL Sounds like she's trying to take a wicked dump or something, we just sit here and crack up at it, and imitate her making the same noises back at her. Yep, totally normal, just funny as hell!
curious ya'll say your mom of 4 but most of your questions make it seem like your a new mom?
I'm pretty sure it's normal. My daughter whom is now 2 and 1/2 did the same thing when she was about 4 months old. She grunted like a goat, we thought it was strange but the doctor said it was just gas.
That is perfectly normal. My son has been grunting since a couple of days old and he is now 8 months. He started doing it when he would go to the bathroom and I thought he was constipated. However his stool was always soft and the doctor said that it was nothing to worry about. Now he does it when he wants something and when he sees daddy. Of course he still does it when he is doing #2 and i figure if he continues, at least it will be easier to potty train him(lol)
My son is also 8 weeks old and he also grunts like a maniac. I also wondered but we're both experiencing i'm sure its normal. My opinion, I think they are getting used to body sensations and learning what kinds of noises they can make and what kind of things they can do.
