It is normal for your period to be irregular for a while after childbirth.

With all three of my pregnancies, I started menstruating again after about 18 months, and was somewhat irregular for another 6 months or so after that. Now, I was nursing that whole time, and I seem to be at the far end of the spectrum on this.

If I were you, I'd give it at least another 6 months or so, but if you're concerned, go ahead and call your doctor and see if they're worried at all.

I didn't get my period for over 6 months after my daughter was born, and I only breastfed for the first month. Hormones, added "stress"/strain contribute to whether or not a lot of woman have regular periods. I wouldn't sweat it, just make sure to watch out for pregnancies and ask a doctor if it really concerns you.

It took about a year for mine to come back with both kids, though I was breastfeeding.

Sometimes it takes a while for your cycle to become normal again. I was 40 when my son was born and I didn't have my period for almost two years after. My OB/GYN thought I was going straight into menopause. Now 52 I'm still getting my period most of the time...

HAve you lost or gained a lot of weight? Are you under a great deal of stress? Has your diet or exercise habits changed? ALl fo those things can impact your hormones which will impact your period. See your doctor and see what he/she says!
