Have you tried them? They are awful! Honestly, I don't understand why people waste their money on jarred food, aside from convenience issues, I'd go for fresh all the way. Taste a steamed carrot (plain, nothing on it) next to jarred carrots, there is no comparison. You don't have to cook everything. But apples, carrots, anything hard you are going to want to make softer. Either steam them for a bit and mash with a fork, or cut in to tiny pieces - this will all depend on how many teeth your little guy has too. But with both of mine, I never pureed at this age, I just steamed until soft then cut in to small pieces. Sweet potatoes were a favorite, pees (don't need to steam), carrots, apples, peaches, bananas, avocados, mango, (just naming some favorite first foods here), also, let him start feeding himself, either with his hands or a utensil. Enjoy!! This is such a fun time!!
