6YO Itchy Feet After Bath

My 6 year old almost always ends up with itchy soles of her feet after bath. I'd say 9 out of 10 times. I've found that it really doesn't seem to matter if she's been in for 15 or 45 minutes, and we've tried changing the soap, bubbles, even the temperture of the water! Is anyone else experiencing this, or heard of it? I feel like I've searched everywhere on the internet and have not found an answer!
Thanks in advance!

I find that I often get itchy feet or hands after a bath or shower. Since I always use the same soap and everything else is the same and I don't ALWAYS get itchy feet or hands I have to think that it's something to do with being dried out from the water. I found that drying off my hands or feet and putting on a good lotion helps relieve the itching.

If someone else knows why this happens, I'd love to know!

I have no clue what could be causing this. The one thing that popped into my head was could she be drying them too roughly. Is she irritating them with the towel?? Hope you can figure something out.

I used to always think it was dry skin, but I read that stepping onto the cold floor causes the reaction. Try running her feet under cold water to bring the body temp down before exiting the tub.

I would completely cut out the bubble bath; can lead to UTIs AND dry out skin :)

Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap is absolutely awesome and very, very gentle. I bet if you stopped the bubbles, changed to Dr. Bronner's (found at Target and Trader Joes, and most healthier markets) and used a fragrance-free, healthy lotion or oil on her skin afterward, it would more than likely solve your problems. We love Burt's Bees apricot oil.

Very common in winter time. While her skin is still damp, put a moisturizing lotion on...including her feet. I use Curel ultimate healing.
