Hey! i was looking into bounce houses for my son's birthday, but they seemed to start out at $125 for a little one, and go up from there. I decided to pass, for this year, and just turn the sprinkler on for the kids entertainment.
I was goofing around on craigslist and saw some listed for $65 to rent little bouncehouse.

I guess my question is, What questions to you ask to ensure a quality bounce house? Should I pass on it because it is too cheap? I suspect the cost has something to do with the person not having the right insurance...

What do you think? Would you rent it?

What can I do next?

You do get what you pay for. My husband and I run a Party Rental Company in Albuquerque and yes there are new companies that are advertising $60 for a rental and they are unlicensed and uninsured and God forbid if there is an accident, you are out of luck. Find a good, well reviewed, company and if they are priced well below the average in your area, there is something up. Make sure your bounce house is properly anchored down. Lots of accidents lately due to wind so very important.

NO WAY..... Not when you know what the going rate is for renting and purchasing. TOO much liability

You get what you pay for.......

I would ask for recent pictures, referrals, and if they have insurance.

There are risks involved with using a bounce house. It really bothers me that people NEED insurance to rent bounce houses. If some kid lands wrong and breaks something or ends up in the hospital with a concussion, it's not the fault of the company that rented the house. If people are thinking that way, then keep your little kids OUT of them.

Personally, I don't know. Someone's trying ot make some extra money. My house that's 16 by 16 is huge and I'd not want to carry that thing around town for 65 bucks. I also wouldn't want to trust someone not to wreck it for 65 bucks.

You have good questions also add, how many hours does this include?

How many children can be inside at the same time?

Can they give you names of past clients so you can get a recommendation?

Can they send you photos of the actual house you would be renting and the condition of it?

Let them know you are asking these questions because it seems like such a great price.

Personally I would buy one 1st. A small one here can be bought for 125 dollars and then you can use it all the time, no problem.
