Hi Moms: My son is turning 6 next month. I am looking for some fun games or activities in case it rains. Usually I have a poool and waterslide up if it is hot. However, 2 years ago it was 50 degrees on his birthday so now I like to be prepares. Last year I had the kids decorate thier goody bag, 2 years ago I had them decorate a cape then I pinned it to their shirt. This year his theme is "superheros" again. Any ideas?

My seven year old just ha a great party. We went to Third Coast Comics (www.thirdcoastcomics.com). If you email the owner - for $125 he will bring in an artist from a leading comic book distributor. Each child got a hand sketched original of any comic book character they wanted. Each child got to pick two comics to take home. AND they served cookies and punch. A great way to promote reading while nurturing the superhero in all little boys. Its best if you email Terry, the owner. He responds better that way. His email is ____@____.com finished our party across the street at McDonalds.

you could do "pin the cape on the super hero" think pin the tail on the donkey. you could do "super hero drop" the clothes pin in a milk jug. and something along the lines of bozo buckets only decorate them with super hero pictures you can print off the internet. kids have fun no matter what there doing. we did a pirate party a few years ago. had all these lovely outside things ready and like yours it was 50 degrees and raining. so insde we went. still fun just a lot louder and more squeezed.

One thing I know kids love....pinatas! I bet the party supply store has a variety..maybe even a superhero one(if it rains you could always do it in the garage. You could do charades too. Just have the kids pick a name of a superhero out of a hat and act out the superhero and have the kids guess..sometimes if kids are shy, have two kids do it together. Good Luck!
