Talk to your pedi about the pros and cons. I'm pretty sure he will require 2 doses spaced several weeks apart if I remember correctly from when my son was that age.
Hello. My son is supposed to go in for his 6 month shots tomorrow. I am on the Dr.Sears vaccine timeline so he is only going to get a couple tomorrow. My question is about the flu vaccine. He has already had H1N1 and I was wondering how many moms out there get their kids vaccinated for the regular Flu Vaccine. I'm just not sure if he should get the flu vaccine or not. Thanks!

I don't reccomend the flu vaccine for anyone and besides that more than one doctor told me that all flu this flu season is a form of H1N1 so if you already did that why put more poisons in his body. Look up all the junk they put in vaccines and you may rethink giving your children any vaccinations. Check out mercola.com for great information.
If it were me I would not. My son is 2 adn has never had the flu or H1N1 vax. There are things you can do to prevent teh flu and there are things you can do to treat it. That was our criteria as to if we would vax or not. If you can treat the illness then we would rather not risk the possibility of vaccine related injury. The flu vaccine can actually give your baby the flu. Of course do what you feel in your heart is best for your baby but if you are questioning it I would not do it. You can (if your baby is still breast feeding) increase your vitamin D intake. You can also visit www.mercola.com for extensive info.
i always gave my little ones the flu vaccine until they were two because they were at higher risk for complications from the flu. after 2 year old we don't get the flu shot anymore.
I got both for my son, but he's a bit older. We've always gotten the seasonal flu shots and have had no problems. Talk to your ped re the flu vax. I don't beleive they even give it to children under 2, but check. However, you should consider getting the vaccine to minimize yours and your child's risk.
