My 6 month old sons testicles are very tight, shrunken and hard. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but they just don't look right to me. I was wondering have any other mothers noticed this with their sons and what they did or what i should do? Help!

What can I do next?

Can you feel two "peanuts"?

I agree with Meredith...check them in the tub.

Baby testicles don't look like adult testicles.
You should ask your pediatrician to make sure things are normal.
I know a little boy who had a testicle that never dropped and he had surgery when he was in kindergarten.
This was something they knew from birth and waited to see if it would drop on it's own. It didn't.

Get a professional opinion from his doctor.

Best wishes.

My 6 mo old's are like that when he's cold. Mostly the first diaper change in the morning when he's been laying still for awhile or if the wipes are really cold (I noticed it first when the diaper warmer broke). If they're like that all the time I'd ask your doctor, but if it's only occasionally I think it's pretty normal.

I don't think there is anything you can do. If you are concerned I would say pediatrician. However, my 6 mo son definitely does not have an adult sized scrotum/testes ratio so it all appears much more tightly packed in there instead of loose and soft with two testes having lots of room inside like an adult mans.

Sorry...I'm not sure. Call your ped. My son is 6 months also and his testicles seem looser, not like you described. I'm not saying it's a big problem, just that I don't know.

When in doubt, always call the pediatrician. Quickest, easiest way to get your peace of mind.

Is he a little chilly when you notice that, like during a diaper change? You might give them another look when he's in a nice warm bath- my sons' have always gotten much more relaxed in the warm water.
