Hello Amanga
Remember to consult your doctor as they say. I have 4 children and I see you have an 8 year old. Every child is different but for me I've noticed these signs to be "growing pains" as I call them. If he's not sleeping during the day
try playing around on the carpet with him for an hour then feed him and remember the 1st burp might not be the only for that feeding. There are so many things to try... find what works for him. Here are some tips:
- different holding positions (my 2 year old likes to be held over my shoulder (as opposed to cradled in the arms)
- try daddy or brother (maybe for night time) My 2nd child fussed at times and was quick to go to sleep with daddy instead (or for that moment) - try brother too.
- bath time at night
- changed diaper in the middle of the night or early evening
- rub the ears (soothing touches) 1 of my girls (age 5) still rubs her arms when she drinks
- they will have their own sleeping routine, during the day they are more aware of new things...
- for teething take a damp wet cloth, cover your finger and gently massage his gums
Happy napping. J.
